The original concept is an answer to a challenge to design a site grid using tableless CSS. I decided to increase complexity by making the layout a cinematic horizontal, completely centered and "floating". The gradient background image is an SVG file coded from ACTIONSCRIPT and converted to a PNG file allowing flexible scalability.
The original concept lacked color, contrast, depth, and images. The navigation menu was static. My portfolio section was going to be a dynamic Flash file in a CFFORM accordian. One swf would be reused with a separate xml for each Portfolio category. The abstract of the portfolio is here.
As I improve the design, I added jQuery, including the dynamic jQuery-Slide for the navigation. The menu expands, and regardless of site navigation or refresh, the menu remembers position. For the Portfolio I used PictureFlow which acheives my goal of having my Portfolio in one easy to navigate space.
For Adult Content the ShadowBox links to a cfm instead of jpg. This allows me to present adult content beneath a div after giving consent. These pages are RTA tagged.
